PURPOSE:To enable a high accurate guide to be attained by forming one of the guides, which are guided by a guide rail on its guide surfaces directed to an opposite direction to each other, as the fixed guide, mounted being fixed to a table, and the other as the idling guide movable in the lateral direction. CONSTITUTION:A tension spring 21 presses an idling guide 15 to one guide surface 11B of a guide rail 11, and this action brings also a fixed guide 13, fixed to a table 12, into contact with a guide surface 11A in the opposite side of the guide rail 11 under a suitable pressure. The table 12, running along the guide rail 11 under this condition, can be moved being high accurately guided by the fixed guide 13 in a predetermined position with the guide rail 11 serving as the reference. Now generating a change of temperature, even when each part generates different thermal deformation, the idling guide 15 is continually pressed to the guide rail 11 by the tension spring 21, accordingly a device, pressing also the fixed guide 13 to the guide rail 11, enables a high accurate guide to be always attained. |
