1. A process for the preparation of submicroscopic particles having a diameter of less than 600 nanometers, made of a synthetic polymer and containing at least one biologically active substance, which comprises preparing an aqueous reaction medium free of surface-active agent, adding under stirring at least one alkyl cyanoacrylate, wherein the term "alkyl" denotes a linear or branched alkyl radical having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, stirring being continued until substantially all the alkyl cyanoacrylate introduced into the reaction medium has been converted into submicroscopic particles made of polyalkyl cyanoacrylate, at least one biologically active substance, selected from the medical substances for human or veterinary use and diagnostic products, being introduced into the reaction medium before the introduction of monomer or after the formation of submicroscopic particles. |
