PURPOSE:To block a crosstalk between tracks recorded on a medium and to improve track density, by providing the 2nd magnetic pole leg made of a magnetic thin film for a main magnetic pole of a vertical magnetization head in parallel with the running direction of the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A main magnetic pole is formed with the 1st main magnetic pole leg 12 made of a high permeability magnetic thin film on a non-magnetic supporting member 11 and the 2nd main magnetic pole leg 13 made of a high permeability magnetic thin film provided orthogonally to the 1st main magnetic pole 12, i.e. in parallel with the running direction of a recording medium. The 1st and 2nd legs 12 and 13 are connected at the end surface and the end surface of the side of the 2nd main magnetic pole leg 13 in contacting with the recording medium, from which the recording medium is fun, is formed round. Thus, crosstalk between tracks A and B recorded on the recording medium can be blocked with increased track density and a reproduced output of signals can be increased. |
