The security device includes a control unit (11) which has multiple contacts (10) operated by manual levers (30). The levers are mounted in a housing, with the electrical contacts attached to the outer wall of the housing. The operating levers are mounted on a common shaft (32) so they can rotate and the movement of the lever knob (31) translated into movement of a finger (33) that acts directly (11) on the electrical contact. The security is provided by a row of balls (41) in a passage parallel to the axis of rotation of the levers. A finger (45) on the lever displaces a cam that wedges between balls, packing them tight to prevent operation of another lever. USE/ADVANTAGE - Prevents incorrect operation of selector levers used in industrial plant or terrestrial vehicles.
