The seat consists of a frame (12) which can be fitted inside the vehicle and used with different padded covers according to the age and size of the child using it. It also has a safety harness to hold the child in the seat, with the straps of the harness attached to slots (32A-38A) in the seat frame (12). The frame (12) comprises a curved lengthwise bar (30) and side arms (32-38) which have the slots for the harness straps in their ends. The seat can be fitted to the floor (14) of the vehicle by means of two supports (48,50), the rear support (50) having a hooked end to engage with a bar (70) in the floor and the front one a lug (56) with a hole (58) for a bolt (60) which engages with a nut (64) fixed to the underside of the floor panel. The interchangeable padded covers can be attached to the frame by tongues with holes for projecting studs, or by flexible clips. ADVANTAGE - Adapts to fit children of different sizes, and is easily fitted and removed.
