In the production of elastomer-modified thermoplastics by mixing elastomer (I), especially rubber with a shell of thermoplastic plastics (II) formed by graft polymerisation, with thermoplastic plastics (III), wet (I), especially graft polymer, precipitated from a latex, is dewatered to a residual moisture content of 1-50, preferably 5-50, especially 10-40 wt.% and incorporated in a (III) melt. The novelty is that (a) the process water in (I) is evaporated, (b) (I) is melted, (c) (I) is alloyed with the (III) melt and (d) other organic volatiles are removed simultaneously in one process chamber. |
