摘要 PURPOSE: A driving method of display elements and an electronic apparatus using the same are provided to reduce spots due to a current leakage by using a switching characteristic of the structure. CONSTITUTION: One frame period includes an ON period(D_ON), and subfield periods(SF1 to SF3). In the ON period(D_ON), data signals determined by voltage transmittance characteristics of display elements, data signals that drive the display elements, for example, are supplied to the data lines(DL1 to DLm) to thereby drive the display elements. On the other hand, in the subfield periods(SF1 to SF3), in accordance with the gray level data, the data signals for the display elements are supplied to the data lines(DL1 to DLm). In order to make each of the display elements display multi-gray levels, such as the eight gray levels, the subfield periods(SF1 to SF3) are provided with lengths that are different from one another. Specifically, the length of the subfield period(SF2) is approximately twice that of the subfield period(SF1), and the length of the subfield period(SF3) is set to be approximately twice that of the subfield period(SF2).
