PURPOSE:To facilitate plotting operation for a blowout and an emphasis frame, etc., surrounding a character string, a graphic etc., which are already inputted to a plotting area. CONSTITUTION:A software key for character emphasis is displayed (ST701), and the kind of character emphasis is inputted (ST7O2); and it is checked whether or not there is a character string at a cursor position (ST703 and 704) and when there is the character string, the left upper coordinates of the emphasis frame are calculated from the left upper coordinates of the character string (ST705). A longitudinal font number and a lateral font number are calculated from the size of the character string (ST706) and the emphasis frame is displayed (ST707 and 708) unless the left upper coordinates of the emphasis frame protrude from the plotting area. |
