PURPOSE: To provide the device and method for English morpheme analysis which can accurately analyze a proper noun such as a person's name without dividing it and interprets each token without any error. CONSTITUTION: The device and method are equipped with a character string dividing means 3 which divides an English character string into tokens with a pause character such as a space and a uppercase character start token string recognition means 5 which adds a mark indicating that division is impossible unless tokens which start with uppercase characters and succeed can be divided in a morpheme analysis. |
