Clamping device for high strength filament or ribbon material

The clamping arrangement with two clamp elements transferring tensile forces into clamped, high strength material has a deflection device before each clamping point to relieve the clamps. The deflection devices consist of deflection bodies (16,18,20) fixed w.r.t. the clamps (2,3) or able to be fixed in an end position. The material section (6) in the region before each clamp can be bent back on itself. The outer surface of the deflection body next to the clamps bounds on the clamping plane.
