A domestic waste bin (1) having a sleeve (2) which receives a frusto-conical bin liner (3) . The bin liner (3) receives a bin bag (4) . A bag valve holder (18) is attached to the bin bag, which holder is seated in the upper end of vacuum tube (14) , leading from motor (10) to the bag (4) . The motor (10) can be operated to evacuate air from the bag (4) , when filled with waste material, thereby reducing the space normally occupied by the filled bag when ready for disposal . |
