PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device body which enables improvement of heat radiation characteristics, and to provide an LED lighting device.SOLUTION: In a lighting device, a device body has an E type socket to which an LED lamp having an E type mouth piece is detachably attached. The device body has: a receptacle 11 including the socket therein; a support medium which supports the receptacle 11 so that the receptacle 11 may move in a center axis direction of the socket; and a body cover 15 covering the receptacle 11. The receptacle 11 has an extension area 35 extending in an exterior direction of the socket. The body cover 15 has contact parts 67a to 67d which contact with the extension area 35 when the receptacle 11 rotates around a rotation axis of the mouth piece.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
