The suspension holder for electrical cables has cable spacer plates (10), elements (21) for attaching the spacer plates (10) and an element (11) for suspension on a supporting device. This suspension element (11) is in the form of a metal plate having a reversed T-cross-section. The vertical section (16) runs through an elongated hole (15) which is constructed centrally in each spacer plate (10), the suspension end being exposed above the upper spacer plate. A transverse piece (17) extends underneath the lower spacer plate (10) and is used for supporting the stack of plates. The cables are clamped in between the spacer plates, on both sides of the vertical section (16). This construction has the advantage that the relatively weak spacer plates (10) are supported by the strong metal plate. <IMAGE>
