PURPOSE:To decrease the generation of heads, which cannot perform a suction operation, by a method wherein nozzles are used from the higher-priority nozzles on the basis of data in a storage device and in the case where a decision device decides that these nozzles are not used, the succeeding suction operation is controlled so as to use the next-higher priority nozzles. CONSTITUTION:In the case where there are the same kind of suction nozzles in mounting heads of a CPU 20 which is a control device, the nozzles are used from the higher-priority nozzles on the basis of data on the priority of the nozzles to be used, which is stored in a ROM 21, which is a storage device, and in the case where it is decided by the CPU 20, which is a decision device, that these nozzles are not used, the next-higher priority nozzles out of the nozzles of the same kind as that of these nozzles are used. Thereby, another nozzle of the same kind as that of a certain nozzle can be used instead of the certain nozzle, the generation of heads, which cannot perform a suction operation, is decreased and a productivity is improved. Moreover, the period of time of maintenance, such as cleaning of nozzles, can be lengthened. |
