<p>The present invention relates to a novel stigmasterol derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a method of producing the same, and a composition comprising the same for inhibiting obesity or for preventing and treating hyperlipidemia. The stigmasterol derivative according to the present invention is advantageous in that the stigmasterol derivative reduces the contents of triglyceride, total cholesterol, and LDL-cholesterol in blood, increases the content of HDL-cholesterol, and suppresses an increase in body weight. Accordingly, it is possible to use the stigmasterol derivative according to the present invention as medicines and health foods that are useful to suppress obesity or to prevent and treat hyperlipidemia.</p> |
