The present invention relates to a device and a method for sealing a pouch of a secondary battery. The device for sealing the pouch of the secondary battery comprises: a first pressurization zig which pressurizes the pouch from an upper part to a lower part in a state of arranging an electrode module; and a second pressurization zig which pressurizes the pouch from the lower part to the upper part. The first and second pressurization zigs pressurize a first area of the pouch which surrounds an electrode area of the electrode module; a second area of the pouch which surrounds a non-electrode area of the electrode module; and a third area of the pouch which is horizontally separated from the non-electrode area of the electrode module in each different depth. The present invention prevents defects in processes; and maintains a stable adhesion lifespan.
