PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive support device surely alerting a driver to be alerted while unnecessary alert is not made. SOLUTION: The drive support device 100 for alerting the driver with a tactile stimulus has a tactile stimulus generation section 4 for generating the tactile stimulus at a local zone in a vehicle where the driver can touch during driving operation. The local zone in the vehicle may be a position not in contact with a physical body of the driver during driving operation, or a position of a driving device operated by the driver during driving operation. The drive support device 100 has a distance measuring section 2 for measuring a distance between a preceding vehicle and its own-vehicle within a designated range from the own-vehicle, and generates a tactile stimulus in the local zone in the vehicle by the tactile stimulus generation section 4 when the distance measured by the distance measuring section 2 becomes a designated value or more.
