The panel includes at least two vertical profiled bars formed with lateral grooves arranged to face each other. The panel components (26,27) are supported between these bars, engaged within the lateral grooves. At least one rear support panel (4,18) takes the place of at least one of the panel components. The support panel is thinner than the panel components and has engagement and locking formations on its front surface. These allow attachment of facing panels (32,33) to the front surface. A system of grooves (34-37) in the support panel edges allows connection to adjacent panels by means of intermediate strips.
