A system for securing a key in a vehicle is provided. The system comprises: a cable for connecting to a vehicular component, wherein the cable comprises a first end and a second end; a lock for locking the first end of the cable and the second end of the cable; a key holder for holding a key, wherein the key holder comprises a connector f or connecting to the cable; and an alarm system connector for connecting the cable to a vehicular alarm system.
