<p>A printing system is disclosed for printing a plurality of jobs in a system, which includes a plurality of job preparation stations (204). Each of the job preparation stations is used to convert the documents into ready for printer file format and to generate an electronic job ticket (438) that represents global document features. Each job preparation station includes a set of defined attributes for that station, such as operator skill level and/or printer experience. A job allocator receives the set of defined station attributes for each of the job preparation stations and distributes printing jobs to each of the job printing stations based on the defined station attributes of the job preparation stations.</p> |
