PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unlocking device for an arm rest, which facilitates an unlocking operation regardless of the rotated position of an arm rest.SOLUTION: An arm rest 10 is provided with: a string 12 one end of which is connected to an unlocking operation port of a locking mechanism and the other end is pulled and urged in the direction of an initial position; and an unlocking operation knob 13 to which the other end of the string 12 is connected and which is held at the longitudinal end of the arm rest 10. The unlocking operation knob 13 includes: a string support part by which the other end of the string 12 is supported; a first rolling face 16 that comes into contact with a support face on the arm rest 10 side and rolls when operated in one direction from a neutral position; and a second rolling face 17 that comes into contact with the support face on the arm rest 10 side and rolls when operated in the other direction from the neutral position. When the unlocking operation knob 13 is operated in any direction from the neutral position, the string support part is displaced in a direction in which the string support part pulls out the string 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
