PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information terminal device to securely erase data such as card information without requiring any special erasure processing. SOLUTION: When a card is authenticated for settlement, card information recorded on the card is read and temporarily stored in a data storage memory 22a. A CPU 22b reads the card data from the data storage memory and transmits the card information to a communication control unit 24. The communication control unit 24 controls a communication block 25 to transfer the card information to a card information authentication server. Here, a nonvolatile memory is used as the data storage memory where the card information is destructively read so as not to remain in the data storage memory when the card information is read from the data storage memory for the data transfer.
