PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the real conveyance quantity of a material to be recorded so as to become exact. SOLUTION: A compensating method includes a photographing procedure for photographing the surface property of a recording sheet 190 continuously while making the recording sheet 190 convey by the conveying means of a supply device 130, transport device 140 and an ejection device 160, etc., a real conveyance quantity calculating procedure for computing the real conveyance quantity by extracting and comparing a plurality of static images with which timing differs mutually from a picture acquired by the photographing procedure, a forecasting conveyance quantity calculating procedure for computing the forecasting conveyance quantity of the recording sheet 190, a correction value calculating procedure for correcting the correction value of a moving amount from the difference of the forecasting conveyance quantity and the real conveyance quantity, and a moving amount compensating procedure for correcting the moving amount from the correction value.
