Solid crystalline IM-10 and a process for its preparation.

IM-10 zeolites (I), with a defined x-ray diffraction pattern and chemical composition, are new. IM-10 zeolites of formula (I) with a defined x-ray diffraction pattern are new: XO 2: mGeO 2: p Z 2O 3: qR 2/nO : sF (I) R : one or more n-valent cations; X : one or more tetravalent elements other than Ge; Z : at least one trivalent element; m : 0.1-4; p : 0-0.5; q, s : 0.01-0.7; (1+m)/p : 5 or more. An independent claim is also included for production of (I) by hydrothermal treatment of a reaction mixture comprising an XO 2source, optionally GeO 2, Z 2O 3and M 2/wO sources (M and w are not defined) and an organic nitrogen cation (R) or a precursor or decomposition product of R.
