Provided are a large diameter sheath-core composite monofilament and a production method therefor. The large diameter sheath-core composite monofilament comprises a sheath layer and a core layer located on the inner side of the sheath layer, with the difference in melting point between the sheath layer material and the core layer material being 30-70°C, wherein a polypropylene chip is chosen as the core layer material and a polyethylene chip as the sheath layer material, and the sheath layer material and the core layer material are subjected to melt extrusion through different screws, pass through a metering pump according to a certain mass percentage, and are subjected to extrusion spinning through a sheath-core composite spinneret plate; the extruded monofilament is cooled in a liquid-cooling water tank at a temperature of 10-50°C; the cooled monofilament is stretched at a stretching ratio of 4-8; and the stretched monofilament is thermoformed and then wound. According to the large diameter sheath-core composite monofilament and the production method therefor provided by the present invention, by using two materials having different melting points as the sheath layer material and the core layer material of the monofilament and treating same, a firm bonding of the sheath layer and the core layer is achieved, and in the process of processing window screens, mesh points are more easily bonded and more firm. |
