The large size wind generator has a vertical mast with a wind driven helix with the helical blades inclined towards the forward direction. There is a center section (4) driving an alternator. The center section has a fixed chassis (6) attached to an element (7) having a low length section and concentrically attached to the chassis by arms (8). There is a small gap between the chassis and the moving blades. The fixed section has a rounded edge attachment with a streamlined shape. The fixed section is made from a stretched skin membrane (14) of low density on a rigid skeleton structure.
