PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device capable of suppressing a reduction in a combustion speed even when an EGR rate is increased.SOLUTION: The present invention provides an engine control device for controlling an engine that comprises an injector that directly injects fuel into each cylinder; an igniter that ignites the injected fuel; and EGR means that can reuse combustion gas and change an EGR rate of the reused combustion gas, and for transmitting a command to the injector to inject the fuel a plurality of times during one cycle, transmits a command to implement at least one of a control to increase an injection quantity in a compression stroke for a total injection quantity in one cycle when the EGR rate is high as compared with a case where the EGR rate is low, and a control to increase the number of times of injection in the compression stroke for the total number of times of injection in one cycle when the EGR rate is high as compared with the case where the EGR rate is low.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
