PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation mechanism of a loading hatch capable of performing all driving functions (raising/lowering and parallel displacement) by one operation device requiring small power (one operation device for one loading hatch panel). SOLUTION: The operation mechanism 25 of the loading hatch of a cargo ship, having at least one hatch panel 19 capable of moving between an opened position and a closed position for opening/closing a cargo space of the cargo ship, is mounted to realize movements of the hatch panel between the opening position and the closing position. The hatch panel is lifted to a moved position and lowered to a fixed position by a sliding base 1 arranged to slide while being supported by one or a plurality of guide members 4 provided for a hull of the cargo ship, and by at least one of lever arms 2, 3 or a fan-shaped gear collaborating with the sliding base and directly or indirectly hinge-connected to the hull of the cargo ship.
