PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize automation of various work in a picking system.SOLUTION: A picking system 1 includes a ceiling rail 7, racks 5, a first stacker crane 11, a second stacker crane 17, and an assortment preparation station 101. Each rack 5 is provided along a part of the ceiling rail 7 and has a plurality of shelves 5a capable of storing containers 23 or item collection shelf members 25 capable of storing the containers 23. The first stacker crane 11 can travel on the ceiling rail 7 and has a first transfer device 15 capable of transferring the item collection shelf members 25. The second stacker crane 17 can travel on the ceiling rail 7 and has a second transfer device 21 capable of transferring the containers 23. The assortment preparation station 101 is disposed close to a part of the ceiling rail 7 and has container delivery parts 103 which may receive the containers 23 from the second stacker crane 17 and deliver the containers 23 to the second stacker crane 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
