PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably supply cooling water from the outside to a cooling system whose cooling function is lost at a severe accident.SOLUTION: A portable type cooling apparatus A for supplying cooling water to a cooling system of a nuclear plant includes: a heat exchanger 8; a primary outlet pipe 14 and a primary inlet pipe 16 connected to the primary side of the heat exchanger 8; a secondary outlet pipe 11 and a secondary inlet pipe 15 connected to the secondary side of the heat exchanger 8; a primary pump 7 provided at the primary outlet pipe 14; a primary branch pipe 13 connected to the primary outlet pipe 14 at the upstream side of the primary pump 7; a secondary branch pipe 12 connected to the secondary outlet pipe 11; and a pressurizer 10 whose one end is connected to the primary branch pipe 13 and whose other end is connected to the secondary branch pipe 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
