The present invention relates to a display device comprising: multiple gate wirings; multiple COG blocks including a plurality of gate wirings and a gate shorting bar which is separated from the plurality of gate wirings by a trimming area; and an equipotential wirings extended to one COG block adjacent to another COG block among the multiple COG blocks, and having part thereof corresponding to the trimming area removed. Also, the display device comprises: a gate dummy wiring extended from at least one COG block among the multiple COG blocks; multiple data wirings crossing the multiple gate wirings; and an active layer arranged between the data wirings and the gate dummy wirings. According to an embodiment, the display device is structured to remove part of the active layer, which does not cross the data wirings but crosses the gate dummy wirings. The objective of the present invention is to provide the display device and a manufacturing method thereof where a new structured is applied to reduce defects of display devices caused by current introduced into the display device during manufacturing and inspection processes of the display device. |
