<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of independently selecting an appropriate processing mode for each factor of abnormality in the event of abnormality of the printer, a host device, a print system, a program, and a control method for terminal device. <P>SOLUTION: The printer, which has a general processing mode for performing print based on data transmitted from the host device and a deletion processing mode for only reading the data, comprises an abnormality detection means detecting the abnormality of the printer and determining the factor of the abnormality; and a deletion mode transfer means executing, upon detection of abnormality by the abnormality detection means, continuation of the general processing mode or transfer to the deletion processing mode which are preliminarily designated in response to each factor of abnormality, respectively. The host device comprises a factor-based processing mode setting means preliminarily setting, for each factor of abnormality of the printer, a processing mode of processing to be executed in response to abnormality caused by each factor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
