DISPLAY APPARATUS AND VOICE CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A display device and a voice control method thereof are provided to assign an identifier to each icon based on set references and select an icon corresponding to the identifier and perform a corresponding function if a user pronounces the identifier. CONSTITUTION: If a voice recognition mode starts, a control unit(130) assign different identifiers to icons respectively at an icon display location. The control unit displays the identifier on the icons by control of a display unit(120). If a voice for an identifier is received through a voice input unit(110), the control unit selects an icon corresponding to the inputted identifier.
