The structure (1) i.e. spiral link belt (2), has a set of parallel rows (3.1-3.3) of windings (4.11-4.1n, 4.21-4.2n, 4.31-4.3n) arranged one after another along a longitudinal direction. Adjacent rows are connected with one another using drive elements (7.1-7.3). The individual windings are formed from filaments (6.2, 6.3) with a specific cross-sectional area (11), whose maximum width (b6) is provided within an area of an upper side (25) forming an outer circumference of the winding, where the filament exhibits a polygonal, trapezoid, semicircular, or half oval-shaped cross-section.
