PURPOSE: A method for forming photosensitive material and a fluorescent/black matrix is provided to constantly form a pattern of a black matrix layer or a fluorescent surface of a color cathode ray tube. CONSTITUTION: Vacant polymer is composed of vinylbenzyl styrylpyridinium salt and a vacant monomer, wherein vinylbenzyl styrylpyridinium salt is made the photosensitive monomer and is composed of a vinyl group, a benzyl group, and stilbazolium group and the vacant monomer has a film function. After uniformly coating the polymer on an internal surface of the color cathode ray tube and exposing the polymer utilizing a shadow mask having a constant pattern, the polymer is removed utilizing a mask exposure portion. A graphite layer is coated on the pattern and etchant is coated to remove the pattern, forming a black matrix or a fluorescent surface.
