PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle for preventing fogging of vehicle window glass by raising the temperature of blowout air discharged from a DEF blowoff port even during a FOOT mode. SOLUTION: This air conditioner is provided with an air mix door for distributing cold air from an evaporator to a cold air passage and a heater core by forming an air blowing fan surrounded by a casing partition wall, the evaporator, the heater core, and the cold air passage between the evaporator and the casing partition wall within a casing of an indoor unit, a joining flow passage for the cold air passage and a hot air passage from the heater core, and a FOOT door switching ventilation air to an air passage B communicated with the DEF blowoff port and provided along the casing partition wall and the FOOT blowoff port. The FOOT door is rotated between a first position for closing the FOOT blowoff port and a second position having a distal end part in contact with the casing partition wall and opening the FOOT blowoff port. At the second position, a passage for communicating the joining flow passage with the air passage B is formed in the vicinity of a fulcrum of the FOOT door. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
