PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel engine that can compactly dispose an engine body, a DPF case and an SCR catalyst case.SOLUTION: The diesel engine includes: the engine body 1; the DPF case 2; and the SCR catalyst case 3, where a DPF 4 is stored in the DPF case 2 and an SCR catalyst 5 is stored in the SCR catalyst case 3. In the diesel engine, the DPF case 2 and the SCR catalyst case 3 are mounted to the engine body 1, a DPF base bracket 8, a DPF support base 10, and a pair of SCR support stays 11, 11 are included in the diesel engine, the pair of SCR support stays 11, 11 are casting, each lower part of the SCR support stays is fixed to the DPF support base 10, and parts to be supported 3b, 3c of the SCR catalyst case 3 are placed and fixed to each upper end of the SCR support stays. |
