This technology pertains to an image processing device and image processing method which make it possible to appropriately perform image processing of images taken from multiple perspectives. A saturated pixel reconstruction unit reconstructs a pixel value of a saturated pixel, the pixel value of which is saturated, from among the pixels of images taken from multiple perspectives that were captured using a prescribed exposure time. A processing unit image-processes the images taken from multiple perspectives, the saturated pixel values of which have been reconstructed. This technology is applicable, for example, to image processing of images taken from multiple perspectives such as light field technologies for reconstructing an image captured using various optical lenses from images taken from multiple perspectives. |
