PURPOSE: An apparatus for generating a band gap voltage is to generate a band gap voltage stably. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for generating a band gap voltage comprises: a current mirror (12) to be connected to a power supply voltage for generating a bias current and a mirrored bias voltage; a change amount sensing unit (14) for sensing the change of the power supply voltage from the mirrored bias current and outputting the sensed result as a compensating signal; a current compensating unit (16) for compensating the change of the bias current according to the compensating signal of the change amount sensing unit (14); and a voltage output unit (20) for generating a band gap voltage corresponding to the compensated bias current. Thereby, the change of the band gap voltage (VREF) and the modulating effect of the channel distance are minimized.
