PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for development, and an image recording device that can stabilize the picture quality of an output body by suppressing a drop in temperature of a processing liquid due to supply of a replenisher during development of a photosensitive material after exposure and recording. SOLUTION: The method for development in which temperatures of processing liquids are controlled based upon a set temperature when the photosensitive material is dipped in a plurality of processing liquid tanks wherein the processing liquids are reserved in order while conveyed to perform development processing includes a step S11 of measuring the temperature of a replenisher reserved in a replenisher tank, a step S12 of changing the set temperature based upon the measured replenisher temperature, and a step S15 of supplying the replenisher from the replenisher tank to a processing liquid tank.
