PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus capable of maintaining a clinical angle even when a rotary angle relative to a support post rotary axis is changed after the positioning of the clinical angle.SOLUTION: An X-ray diagnostic apparatus in an embodiment includes: a stand having an end portion which is rotatable around a support post rotary axis; an arm holder that rotates around an arm main rotary axis approximately perpendicular to the support post rotary axis; an arm that is attached to the arm holder and rotates around an arm slide axis approximately perpendicular to the arm main rotary axis Z2; a holding apparatus control unit that rotates the arm holder around the arm main rotary axis and/or rotates the arm around the arm slide axis so as to set a clinical angle; and a holding apparatus control unit that rotates the arm holder around the arm main rotary axis and rotates the arm around the arm slide axis so as to maintain the clinical angle if the stand is rotated after the clinical angle is set.
