PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image converting device capable of converting the shape of a beam with high efficiency. SOLUTION: The image converting device 1 includes: a semiconductor laser array 2 where a plurality of light emitting points from which light beams are emitted are arranged in a line in an X-axis direction orthogonal to the optical axis directions of the respective light beams; a cylindrical lens 3 refracting the respective light beams emitted from the respective light emitting points of the semiconductor laser array 2 in a Y-axis direction so as to make the respective light beams parallel beams, and radiating them after angling them in the direction Y to the optical axis direction gradually; and an image converting mirror array 4 having a plurality of reflection surfaces 6a to 6f inclined at angles in accordance with the radiation angles of the light beams radiated from the cylindrical lens 3, reflecting the respective light beams radiated from the cylindrical lens 3 on the reflection surfaces 6a to 6f, and collimating the respective beams and arranging them in the Y-axis direction.
