Documentation method for veterinary medicinal surveys comprises providing each individual sample container with a sample-specific coding (7). The same or an assigned coding is adjusted, for the documentation of the sample, as reference coding into a list, and is linked with the identification number of the each examined animal. The coding of the sample container is detected by an electrical reading device (13). The coding is transmitted to a spatially separated output unit for the production of the reference coding as data record.
