<p>The damper (10) has plates (12, 16) integrated to a chassis (14) and an engine, respectively. A deformable stop (32) is connected to the plate (16) and cooperates with a thrust pad (38). A pressure chamber (40), filled with a liquid and having a modifiable pressure, controls a deformation of the stop using a channel (42). An end of the channel emerges into the chamber (40) for communicating the chamber (40) with a working chamber (22). An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a rigidity of a stop in a hydraulic vibration damper.</p> |
