PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the price of a delivered recommended ink cartridge should be paid even when the ink cartridge is not used yet.

SOLUTION: When an ink cartridge UI used for an ink jet printer IPx is replaced by an unused ink cartridge NI, a terminal apparatus CLx discriminates whether the unused ink cartridge NI is a delivered recommended ink cartridge RIx or not, and when the unused ink cartridge NI is discriminated as the delivered recommended ink cartridge RIx, reports the start of use of the delivered recommended ink cartridge RIx to a charging device CD through a network N. The charging device CD receives the report and charges the delivered recommended ink cartridge RIx.
