PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood analyzing device and a blood analyzing method that enable classification and counting of cell surface antigens, in addition to counting the number of lymphocytes, to be accomplished at low cost and in a short period of time.SOLUTION: A sample preparing unit 13 mixes with a blood specimen 101 a hemolytic agent 112 that hemolyzes erythrocytes and a fluorescence-labeled antibody reagent 113 that labels a CD4 antigen appearing on the surface of CD4-positive T cells to prepare a first measurable sample. A light source unit 221 irradiates the first measurable sample flowing in a flow cell 211 with light. Light receiving units 231, 243 and 252 respectively receive first diffused light, second diffused light and first fluorescence obtained from blood corpuscles in the first measurable sample by irradiation with light. A processing unit 21 classifies and counts lymphocytes in the first measurable sample by using first diffused light information and second diffused light information, and classifies and counts CD4-positive T cells in the first measurable sample by using first fluorescence information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
