PURPOSE:To firmly connect a main building with an outdoor staircase, and safely transmit the stress generated in the outdoor stair case by an earthquake to the main building. CONSTITUTION:A T-shaped plate 12 formed of a horizontal part and a vertical part provided on its top end is welded and fixed onto a plurality of reinforcements fixed into the corridor board 4 of a main building 2, and the front surface of the vertical part is exposed to the top end surface of the corridor board 4. On the other hand, a horizontal plate 22 is fixed to a plurality of reinforcements fixed into the landing board 18 of the outdoor staircase 8, and its top end surface and upper surface are exposed to the outside. The connecting parts of the main building 2 and the outdoor staircase 8 are arranged opposite to each other, the end surface of a connecting plate 24 put on the horizontal plate 22 is brought into contact with the front surface of the vertical part, and the connecting plate 24 is welded to the horizontal plate 22 and the T-shaped plate 12.
