MEDIA CONVERSION SYSTEM IN ELECTRONIC MAIL COMMUNICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read a text mail by a correct reading and natural rhythm in electronic mail communication. SOLUTION: On a mail communication network 100 to which plural user's terminals 130 are connected, a text conversion server 110 with a large scale word dictionary and a rule given accurate readings and rhythms and a sound output server 120 becoming a sound output device when a user specifies are provided. A sound output setting file 140 is a file to which each user sets information for sound output. When an incoming electronic mail meets the setting condition of the file 140, a user's terminal 130 transfers it to the conversion server 110. The conversion server 110 gives electronic mail reading/rhythm information to it and sends it back to the user's terminal 130. When mail reading command is executed, sound is outputted through the use of the sound output server 120 or sound synthesizing device 150.
