PURPOSE: A vehicle bumper is provided to restrain the generation of cracks in the intersecting portion of a horizontal rib and a vertical rib when a strong external shock is applied to a bumper and to improve the stiffness of the bumper. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle bumper comprises a bumper fascia(1) and horizontal and vertical ribs formed inside the bumper fascia to reinforce the stiffness of the bumper. In such a bumper for a vehicle, the intersecting portion of a horizontal rib(2) and a vertical rib(3) is rounded. According to the round shape of the intersecting portion of the ribs, the stiffness of the bumper against a shock is improved. Therefore, the generation of cracks on the bumper is restrained. As the bumper effectively absorbs the shock in a vehicle collision, occupants, as well as a vehicle body, are protected safe.
