PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device that can reduce a work load when it is connected with a network, and a network connection program executed in the information processing device.SOLUTION: A fixed IP address is automatically set to an information processing device connected, via a LAN (sub-network), with a multi-function peripheral (MFP) to which both a link local address and a private address are set as follows. The information processing device firstly obtains a link local address as a first address when it is initially connected with the LAN (S3, S4). Then, it detects the MFP by broadcast communication by the link local address, obtains network setting information such as the private address set to the MFP (S5), obtains a private address (second address) usable in the LAN from the obtained network setting information, and sets it as the IP address of its own device (S7). |
